What are the elements of a good website?
Check out this interactive tour of web page criteria. As you observe these sights, identify elements you would like in your website.
What's the difference between a web page and a website?
Create a quick index web page that illustrates a personal interest or a professional goal by using MS Publisher's templates.
Identify elements of your web page that were also present in the websites from the tour.
Publish your web page to your folder on the network.
Observe the files located in the web folder.
Do you prefer to use Publisher or FrontPage to create a website?
MS FrontPage allows a user to create a WEBSITE which is a collection of:
| PAGES | Go to File>New Page or right click in Folder list |
| TEXT | Type just like you would using MS Word |
| PICTURES | Go to Insert>Picture |
| HYPERLINKS | Select text and go to Insert>Hyperlink or right click |

How can you simplify the structure or your website?
Create a schematic drawing or tree diagram of all the different links you might create for your website.
