RIDIN' THE RED-EYE?
We found out last week that using a tool isn't always as simple as selecting one from the Palette and "painting" with the left mouse button. Some tools like the Clone Stamp have more complicated options. Don't forget to review the new options that appear on the Toolbar. Practice changing those and reviewing the results. Also, don't neglect the bottom of the screen for helpful advice regarding the Shift, Ctrl, and Alt buttons.
Try This Week's Dance Step:
1. Open the redeye.jpg file from the thumbnail below. |
2. Zoom into area of one red-eye |
3. Select Red-eye tool and change size of brush to be smaller than red-eye area |
4. Click on the Current swatch on toolbar and select color you want to replace. |
5. Click on the Replacement swatch on toolbar and select color you want as a replacement. |
6. Use Red-eye brush by clicking on the red-eye area you want to remove. |
7. Observe difference results when changing the Sampling and Tolerance menus on toolbar. |
Try the eye-dropper and paintbrush tools on the other. Identify angles and lighting effects that might have eliminated the red-eye in the first place.
