| Create different types of publications using the Wizard pop-up menus. Can you change the formats and personal information? |
| Create different sizes of blank publications using the tab on the startup menu. What attributes of a blank page are you able to change? Compare to the EXERCISES ON THE TOOLBAR. |

| Create the same blank publications as above. Which options did you select under File to accomplish the task? |
| Save this publication in the Publisher folder in My Documents (G:\Access\Publisher) |
| Visit Insert: |
| Include a piece of clip-art in your blank publication. |
| Visit Format: |
| Change the Border, Color, Shading, and Shadow of the clip-art. |
| Visit Arrange: |
| Insert another piece of clip-art. Use your mouse to move it in front of the other piece of clip-art. Use Arrange to change which piece of clip-art is in front. |
| EXERCISES ON THE OBJECTS PALETTE: |
| Click on the letter icon and draw a text box. Type text in the textbox. Change the font and size of the text. |
| Click on the word art icon and draw a box. Format the word-art using the toolbar when you double click on the box. |
| Click on the line, circle, rectangle, or custom shapes icons and draw some shapes. Visit Format to change the appearance. Move one of the shapes in front of the textbox. What happens? Try to keep the shape in front of the text box without changing the spacing of the text. |
