PRACTICE WHAT WE PREACH
Get your mind and mouse on the same page as we review skills from last week. Create a 5 slide presentation with the following characteristics.
| 1st slide | Title and background |
| 2nd slide | Title and informative text |
| 3rd slide | Title, bulleted text, picture |
| 4th slide | Title, word art, picture |
| 5th slide | Title, picture, auto-shape, hyperlink |

Pay attention: Can you use the Toolbar? Outline view? Right click? Task Pane? |

PRINT IT
Use the File/Office button > Print menu to create all sorts of useful handouts. Select Slides to create transparencies or hard copies. Select Notes for a cheat sheet. Select Handouts for audience notes. Select Outline for a text copy.
POST IT
Use the File/Office button > Save as Webpage menu to create a file that you can upload to the internet. You'll need a domain name and some server space if you want your own site.
PRESENT IT
Use the Slide Show and Animations menus to create presentation tricks.
Use Slide Transitions for slide to slide effects.
Use Custom Animation to control the display of objects within slide.
Use Slide Show > Rehearse timings to create an automated presentation. View your slide show and use right click to edit options and slide notes.
SAVE IT
Be sure to File>Save As a copy on a CD-rom or other backup device. Select File>Package for CD to create a copy that will play on any computer with Windows OS.
